is it illegal to sign your husbands name.

Resolved Question:

In may of 2007 My husband gave me permission to sign his name to a check to support our children that he walked away from, he now is trying to bring it into court saying that I forged his name.

It is illegal to sign anyones name on a check. Unless you can prove he gave you permission you would be held liable for the funds from the check. You could also be charged with forgery as well.

I would strongly suggest you consult with a lawyer in your area to represent you in this situation.
