How do you cancel a promissory note

Customer Question

how do you cancel a promissory note

DearCustomer- If you are the creditor and want to forgive the note you can simply write "cancelled" or "satisfied" on the original and return it to the debtor. If you are the debtor the only way to get the note cancelled is to pay the balance due.
