Are there squatters righs in the state of Missouri and how does one go about searching for property ( land ) to claim?

It does not work that way. There is no such thing as squatters rights anymore.
Squatter's rigts is an urban myth. The claim is adverse possession. It requires ten years of continuous possession of a property that is hostile and open with regard to the real property owner. That means you must show you make a claim to the land by fencing it in or occupying it.
