Many times calves will chew the inside of their mouth and an abscess can form. There will be a large swelling, but it doesn't seem to bother them. The abscess will end up rupturing on the inside of the mouth and the swelling will go down and they do fine.

I bet that is a mouth abscess and will be fine once it ruptures.

It doesn't look too big. It was bigger before?
