Customer Question

mom had triplets and won't feed one of them. We milked mom and fed baby with a syrengine. It ate well and sucked. this morning it isn't wanting to suck....what do we do?
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. The Veterinarian will know if the baby will be able to digest that. What is the baby's name and age?
Customer: rudy and was born on monday am
JA: How old is rudy?
Customer: 4 days old
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about rudy?
Customer: nope. She is strong and wll cry. She likes to sleep with siblings and will follow them around. Momma goat doesn't like her around when siblings are nursing though

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner. If you would still like assistance, can you tell me:

Did she get colostrum from mum in the first 24 hours?

Do you mean it won't suckle mum if she is held or won't take a bottle either?

Any drooling or fever?

Is she lethargic or cold?

Any straining to pass stool, abdominal distension, or discomfort if you put pressure on her belly?

Are her gums/inner eyelids pink or paler then her siblings?
