Customer Question

Very lethargic. Yesterday had an appetite but not today. Did see her pee and poop yesterday. Tried squirting water with a little vegetable broth into her mouth this morning. Seems to be breathing fine.
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. What sort of animal are we talking about?
Customer: Mini pig
JA: OK. Could be a lot of things that cause lethargy. The veterinarian will know how to help the pig. What is the pig's name and age?
Customer: Turbo, about 1 1/2 yr.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the veterinarian should know about Turbo?
Customer: She's the only pig here. Lives with 3 dogs. Sleeps indoors at night.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.

Any retching, gagging, lip licking, drooling, or vomiting?

Can she keep water down?

Are her gums nice and pink (not white/pale)? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, does she have any tensing, tenderness, discomfort, or pain?

Could she have eaten anything she should not have (ie bones, toys, plants, chemicals, human meds, etc)?

Any diarrhea?
