Scheller I have an 8 year old holstein cow that calved on

Customer Question

Scheller I have an 8 year old holstein cow that calved on Saturday morning. Calf looks good and lively but we brought her into barn today to milk her out to prevent her getting mastitis (sp?) but her milk has a pinkish tinge to it in the back two quarters. There are no clots. Is this possibly a small hemorrhage in her bag or a type of mastitis?
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: Her front two quarters milk looks fine.
JA: OK got it. Last thing — Large Animal Vets generally expect a deposit of about $18 to help with your type of question (you only pay if satisfied). Now I'm going to take you to a page to place a secure deposit with JustAnswer. Don't worry, this chat is saved. After that, we will finish helping you.

Hello and welcome. I am Dr. B and I would like to help you today.

Any fever?

Does the milk have any odor or change in consistency?

Any tenderness in either quarter?
