Hi, I'm Dr. Steve. How long has this lamb been doing this? Does she eat any feed? When she walks does she do so normally?

Thanks for the information. What you are describing could be a Central Nervous System (CNS) problem. That means an infection or problem with the brain and nerves. Some things that could be involved are Listeria (a bacterial infection) Other bacteria or viruses that can infect the brain. I don't mean to alarm you, but whenever there is a condition in sheep that affects their attitude or demeanor, you have to at least consider Rabies. I honestly think you should have this animal examined by your veterinarian to help determine if there has been a possible exposure to rabies to this sheep. As you know, rabies can be transmitted to people through the saliva of the sheep. There are other things that can cause this problem in sheep, but to protect yourself and anyone who has come in contact with this animal I would strongly recommend talking to your local vet. I would rather be safe than sorry.

Good Luck
