I doubt disabling secure boot will have any effect on your ability to start the computer up. What you will need to do is purchase a new 2.5" hard drive, then reload windows. Your data on the old drive may or may not be retrievable... that would be something you would need to check with a professional data recovery company about. But we can discuss all that when you return.
