I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop L 855 and I forgot the bios password ***** do I clear it?

Windows 8

Technician's Assistant: What have you tried so far with your Satellite? Have you installed any updates recently?

I have tries holding down F1 - F2- ESC- page up page down pulled the cmos battery left it out over night

Just double check if it is password ***** on a blank screen before any operating system such as Windows is loaded?

To clear BIOS password, you have to disassemble your laptop.

Please double check if the laptop shown in the video is the exact model you have, including the back panel's layout, PIN's location, direction of memory model.

Just in case it is different, please see blow one.

You must make sure it is the EXACT SAME model, as Toshiba changes this for different models.

L855-S5309 should be applied for all L885 series. Just double check that they don't look like the same thing?

Oh, dear customer, HDD/SSD password ***** NOT BIOS password!

It is for securing your disk, not the computer....

Try this:

Using SETUP BIOS (i.e. start machine; Hold Esc; Press F1), Tab to the HDD Password ***** which should be displayed as follows:
HDD Password
HDD = Built-in HDD
HDD Password ***** = USER Only
User Password = Registered

Tab to the "User Password" field and simply *enter* *the* *old* *password* and then a new one twice (once to verify) as one would do normally. If you don't want a password, just press "enter" twice
