Last night, laptop was installing Windows updates. Afterwards, blue screen kept coming up with code...critical process died.

Technician's Assistant: What version of Windows are you running on your laptop?

Can't get to desktop to remove updates

Technician's Assistant: Have you tried rebooting from a DVD or flash drive?

No. Don't have either.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Computer Expert to know before I connect you?

Tried F4 n F5 to no avail.

It is Windows 10. Windows was installing automatic updates. Blue screen occurred after installation

Got tired of waiting. That was almost 6 hours ago! I found a video on you tube explaining how to fix it and had it repaired in less than 20 min. I'll be requesting a refund.
