I have a new Acer computer that I purchased and it is asking me for a password ***** it's not accepting any passwords that I give it. Furthermore I never set up password ***** it.

If you do not know the password ***** access the Switch, you will need to reset it:

  1. When it is starting up, hold down the Power key in order to switch off the device.
  2. Switch on your tablet and hold down the Alt + F10 during startup.
  3. Afterwards select your keyboard layout.
  4. In the next step choose Troubleshoot.
  5. Then tap Reset your PC and cofirm operation by pressing Next.
  6. Read and respond to any screens that open.

  7. The Switch should now be reset.
