Hello Michael, and thank you for using this service.

Sorry you are having trouble. I will help you now.

What model Toshiba is this?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I wish I knew. I'm not exactly sure. It's a desktop and monitor together. About 3 years old.

Do we need to use the phone? I actually have to run out at some point. Or do U think this is something I need to take in somewhere? When I turn computer on then off, I get an error of "no bootable device".
Expert:  technicalcat replied 11 months ago.

It would be a lot easier and faster to get to the bottom of this on the phone.

I see you accepted, but there was a payment failure. If you can clear that up , I can call you now, or later.

I actually realized that I had to leave as I have a family issue, grandmother fell and in hospital. Is there a way I can just cancel this for now, get a refund and then attack it again when things come back to normal for me?
Expert:  technicalcat replied 11 months ago.

You can just reply to the question later if you like.

How do I apply for the refund at this point?
Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Nevermind. Thank you.

Hello. Are you still interested in help, or are family matters predominating?

If the former, let's try some up-front diagnosis. Have you tried booting the system off something other than the primary boot device, say, off a maintenance CD? Do you know how to get into the BIOS to make this happen?

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. I hope your grandmother feels better!

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Still st hospital. I cannot locate the CD. So I don't have anything to boot off of.
