F8 repeatedly on startup, try safe mode with networking for the on screen options

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Tried that. I have a black screen that says "No bootable devices - strike F1 to retry boot. F2 for set up utility F5 to Ron onboard diagnostics
Expert:  Cody replied 11 months ago.

Hard drive may have gone bad if it says no bootable devices

try the F5 for diagnostic

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
I have the OS disc and the drivers disc. Should either of these be in the disc drive when I run diagnostics?
Expert:  Cody replied 11 months ago.

no

Hi Cody,
Sorry to take so long. Left for Europe and have been on the road. Still am.
One IT guy said it would take several days to transfer data by Sata. Can that be right?
Expert:  Cody replied 11 months ago.
