Oh thank you so much. i was trying to reset my asus laptop

Customer Question

oh thank you so much for answering. i was trying to reset my asus laptop but it kept saying there was an error and I couldn't reset it. So somehow i've selected boot from Windows Boot Manager, and my computer now just kept restarting, and it only goes as far as the ASUS screen, then it turns off itself and restarts again
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact model of your Asus? And what operating system are you running?
Customer: i just bought it a few weeks ago, it's an ASUS E202S
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: well i've gotten to the Aptio Set Utility blue screen
JA: The computer expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: but i'm not sure what i need to change to stop this loop
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Laptop Technician about your situation and then connect you two.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'm currently on the Aptio Setup Utility blue screen. But i'm not sure what to change on there so it can stop the constant reboot
Expert:  michelleclive replied 1 year ago.

Do you want to run a factory reset or you want the windows reboot issue fixed?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
both, but right now can it be reset? cuz it just keeps rebooting itself from the ASUS page, i can't even get to any other page. i'm currently using another device contacting you so remot assistance wouldn't be possible
Expert:  michelleclive replied 1 year ago.

Shut down the computer and wait for 3 mins. Power it back on and immediately tap on the F9 key few times this should take you to the windows recovery page let me know once you are there.

Im trying.to download a recovery disc onto a usb with my other computer, do you think I can use that to try and reset the laptop?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Are you still there michelle??
Expert:  michelleclive replied 1 year ago.

My apology for the delay. When the system reboots on loop which screen does it end up with.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thr ASUS screen, which I've already attached a picture to you in the last message above. It does not.get to the window screen
Expert:  michelleclive replied 1 year ago.

its basically not finding the boot files you would need a windows disk in that case to boot or you can order a set of recovery disks online which will have windows os, drivers and factory installed softwares.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Well im creating a.recovery.disc onto a usb on my.good computer, so maybe that should help?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Does rebooting the computer from a recovery disc equals resetting the computer?
Expert:  michelleclive replied 1 year ago.

If the recovery disk is from Asus downloads and you have selected the correct model and type then yes it will work and the computer will be reset to factory default.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No I just downloaded the recovery disc from microsoft. What should I download from ASUS instead?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Or is there something on my BIOS setup I can change so that it doesnt reboot from a.usb?
Expert:  michelleclive replied 1 year ago.
