I have a dell latitude laptop that is pretty slow and unresponsive.
I would like to speed it up.
Can you tell me what memory I could purchase to speed it?
And where do I go to see what I have now and what I could use to improve it?

Thanks. Click the start button and in the search area type: msinfo32You'll see the search result at the top. Open it and on the right side of the pagelook for Installed Physical Memory (RAM) and it will tell you what you have now.

It looks like your laptop originally shipped with 8GB of RAM.Is that what it's showing in msinfo32?
Expert:  Byron replied 1 year ago.
If you want to max it out to 16GB go here: "View more compatible memory upgrades"then click "View all results"Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you'll see the 16GB kits.I purchase all my memory from Crucial. The price is competitive and they guarantee it.

so is that all I would need.?

What about storage memory for holding and editing video etc.

Expert:  Byron replied 1 year ago.
You hard drive is what you'll be using for the permanent storage. How big is yours? If you have really big projects you may want to consider purchasing an external harddrive to store those files.
Expert:  Byron replied 1 year ago.
Between the 16GB of RAM and the external drive you're all set.
