In order to get back in and preserve your data a password ***** disk or flash drive to boot from will need to be created.

The password ***** program can be downloaded from here:

Scroll down toward the bottom of the page and use the link titled: Filename:

Inside the zip folder is a program called burncdcc.exe

Launch that program, click Browse and select the Hiren's.BootCD.15.2.ISO file.

Click Start and burn the iso file to the blank CD disk in your drive.

Once the disk is complete, restart the laptop pressing the F12 key until the startup menu loads.

Use the up/down arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press Enter.

Once the disk loads use the arrow keys to select Mini Windows XP and press Enter.

Let me know once you get that far and I can guide you through the rest.

If this sounds like a bit of work, it is.

You can also create a bootable USB/flash drive if you don't have a blank CD.

Use the rufus.exe program found here:

to burn the Hiren's boot cd ISO file to the flash drive.

Another option is to do a factory reset of the laptop, re-installing Windows 7.

You would lose all your files though if they are not already backed up.
