Okay, please do the following first:

Turn off the laptop.
Disconnect the power cord.
Now unplug the battery. You can turn it over to remove the battery.
Hold down the power button on the laptop for 1 minute.
Now, connect only power cord and restart it.

A. What operating system is installed on the computer? Windows xp/vista/7/8/10

B. What is the make of the computer. Hp, Dell, acer, Toshiba or other.

C. Does it ask to enter password ***** a box with black or blue background?

D. Do you have very important data/files on it or it is already backed up?

One last question:

Your laptop asks for password ***** blue/black background immediately when you restart your computer and you don't have to click on anything to bring that box. Right.

In this case, you need to remove bios password.

This bios password ***** be removed by taking out CMOS battery and then putting it back.
