Hello my name is ***** ***** I will do whatever I possibly can to help answer your questions. I am sorry you have encountered this kind of problem first you are going to want to access the battery cover which is on the side. You should be able to locate it using the manual,
Please go to page 102 you will need adobe reader to view it. It will show you instructions and a photo of the location and how to remove the battery. As for a battery replacement you can order it from Toshiba or amazon,
You would need to call Toshiba at(###) ###-####

The sn and mod info were not visible on the laptop and the one I gave you was the wrong one. The correct Mod is PSE20U-002001 E205-S1904. SN 4a161585Q. Also I'm looking for the BIOS battery

Ok bare with me a moment and I will give you the correct information.
Expert:  Charles A. Roberts replied 2 years ago.
First you will want to watch the beginning of this video of someone removing the battery,
It is located on the bottom there should be a switch to unlock it usually there are pictures built into the plastics of padlocks. Once the battery is removed you should be ok and be able to slide the replacement battery in. Here is a link to show you where to get the new battery.
Or you can get it from amazon.
Let me know if that helps at all.

At least we're looking at the right computer now. Thanks for that. However, I'm trying to replace the bios battery, not the main battery. The error is something like "replace bios battery".

Oh ok bare with me for just a moment.

Here is a video on how to take apart the E205 model.

The battery is located on the underside of the motherboard it should look like a metallic coin battery. Like a good sized watch battery you should know it when you see it.I hope that helps.

Cann't see it. Can you find a picture of the board showing it?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Unable to see battery, on top or bottom. Can you find the board manufacturer and part number?

Expert:  Charles A. Roberts replied 2 years ago.
I would not be able to locate it, it would be numbers on the board. All numbers are different I am sorry. There is also the possibility that the cell could be built into the board as well. Some are rechargable and permanent on the board. If that's the case on this model than the machine or motherboard would need to be taken in to have it changed.

Your info did not resolve my issue. I ended up reseting my BIOS time

and restoring my system from backup. It's currently working but I'm expecting the bad BIOS battery again since I didn't replace it. Since Toshiba has the error I would expect them to have a solution for the message, but I've been unable to fine it.

If anyone wishes to ask Jason a question directly,
they can do so at the following page:

My name is Jason. I look forward to helping you today.
If the message concerning the battery is not there anymore, that is good news. The problem appears to have been a simple drained battery. Unknowingly, you fixed the problem by keeping the computer plugged into the power adapter and keeping the main battery charged. Keeping the main battery charged, will in effect charge the built in bios battery.
If you need anything else in the future, please let me know.
Thank you for your time today.
