We live in an apartment building and We had our CO detector
We live in an apartment building and We had our CO detector go off last night. We vacated the premises, called fire department, and they said our levels of CO were 90 (and EPA states 35 is when you want to leave immediately) The source of this was found to be our oven, which wasn't even on at the time. Maintenance came to look at it the next day and said it was something with the boiler and they "fixed it" however, our fire alarm would still go off here and there while using the oven (was an issue before November as well), and it's an older model of an oven Do we have a case to sue the landlord at all? No physical harm resulted from the CO exposure but it was at 1 am and if I wasn't up playing Xbox we could've DIED … read more

As this is technically a safety concern, is this the legal way to get out of my lease? Also. My oven smokes … read more
