Our lease agreement states that “if the tenant moves prior to the end of the rental agreement, the landlord must make a good faith effort to find a new tenant at a fair rate.” My wife and I have listed the place on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace and have showed it to about a dozen potential tenants, of those we had 2 people apply and get declined (1 of who had an overall TurboTenant rating of ‘Recommend').
