The house that I've been renting. for 19 mos is in escrow. I was served with a 60 day eviction notice. I have been trying very hard to find a place to move but haven't been successful. There is a housing shortage here and I have 3 dogs which doesn't help My date to be out is tomorrow May 8th Have tried to work with the landlords but they will not budge They said that the are going to change the locks. I have read that they need to file an unlawful detainer before they can do that also She is now saying that I owe her rent money that I don't. I t was a verbal agreement that I didn't have to pay the last two months so that I could rent another place but she is saying that I owe for 5 months I'm not sure when escrow will close. It is being sold to a corporation and all of the structures are to be torn down. What are my rights if she changes the locks? Also I have rented a storage unit and in the process of moving everything to storage … read more
