We are renters of a home that sustained property during this year's hurricane in Wilmington, NC. The destruction of the home included the entire fence being uprooted, trees down, and the roof damaged. Please note we have always had trouble having the house maintained by the landowners and the rental company. On Saturday at 2pm a trailer full of construction equipment was parked in our two car driveway and blocking us from parking our second car. There was no name and number or plate on the trailer. No note on the door, no voicemails on the phone. We contacted the owner and he said that if it was him, he would have it towed. So we did. This morning, the owners of the trailer were banging on the door, and then verbally threatened my husband and almost assaulted him. The owner is no longer responding to my pleas for help and since it is the weekend, I cannot get in touch with the rental company. What are our legal rights here?
