My roommate Maddie does not have the rent. I called my landlord earliar and I have proof of my 543$ transaction telling her she couldn't pay and I have the texts from her. 180$ was taken from my portion and she put 240$ in 20's. My cash was all 10's and I just did the transaction on Saturday. I counted it 3 times, and put it in yesterday in front of Chloe(my cousin) I came home tonight to her and her boyfriend playing some music then automatically went upstairs. Then I saw my $180 is missing. I know the lease is on me I've been reading many articles, about this. I went to speedway around 2:00am,and I'm speaking to the manager tomorrow to see how he came across it, the clerk told me he saw him with a bundle of 10's and handed him a bill to pay for swishers. How do I go about this? … read more

WILL GET BACK TO YOU. THANKS, OREGON & NO, Jul 29: final
Jul 29: final walk-through, was told everything looked fine. Walk through was early because lease ended on a Sunday. July 31: lease endedOriginally paid a damage deposit of $350. From that $350, I expected to have about $70 deducted for utilities, $145 for carpet cleaning, and $100-140 for apartment cleaning. This would mean I owe the management company approximately $5.00. I was told (verbally) that I owe $180 but was not told what it was for. I asked for an itemized statement.August 2: called and asked (again) for the itemized bill August 22: some correspondence from the apartment complex arrived without postage and was returned to the post office. (I have no idea where it went from there.) I assumed it was the bill. August 23: called apartment complex manager and asked that it be resent–this tine with postage. September 3: called yet again asking for the bill. From what was said, the manager knew it had not been sent and told me to expect it shortly.Today: I don't want to hurt my credit and I accept that I won't be getting any of my damage deposit back, but how long am I responsible for this mysterious $180? … read more
