Can you assist me with Landlord - Tenant Case? Pennsylvania.
I'm a Tenant, and the landlord files an eviction notice for late rent, unknown damages (He said he thinks we WILL cause damages, even though there hasn't been any), and many complaints from one neighbor about footsteps in the night. (Who's made it clear she dislikes us and has said she'll do anything to get us evicted, and she's good friends with the landlord from renting.) However, we've been having a lot of issues with landlord harassment and retaliation. Also, for the rent we made a partial payment after the eviction notice. Which I thought he would have had to file another one if he accepted it. In previous text messages he said he would work with us on the rent (before eviction.) However, after the neighbor complained about my child and I being in the backyard (which is for everybody.) He all of a sudden showed up the next morning pounding on the door with an eviction notice. (He has a really bad temper.) There is a lot of things that also really needs fixed. The electric goes out all the time and the outlets are really hot. We taken thermal pictures of temperatures of the walls and outlets. He doesnt think he should have to fix it and told us that we shouldn't be using a microwave.
