Customer Question
I got an eviction...

I got an eviction notice for being late on rent. Given 31 days to vacate property. Now the landlord says she wants money if I plan on staying the full 31 days. Is that legal?

Lawyer's Assistant: Because laws vary from place to place, can you tell me what state the property is in?

Texas

Lawyer's Assistant: Has anything been filed or reported?

Not sure only eviction notice taped to front door.

Lawyer's Assistant: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?

My landlord is a state representative
