Ask a landlord-tenant lawyer and get answers ASAP
Hello and welcome. I am working on your answer and will be right back!
If you have a deposit, you can apply it to arrears.
If there is no deposit, you can sue for the balance owing.
You can do so in small claims court, or have a lawyer handle on commission fee basis.
SS would be exempt, but ordinary savings, brokerage, other assets would generally not be exempt.
I hope that is fast and clear.

Thank you in advance for taking a moment to rate me. 5 stars very much appreciated
