We recently moved out of our apartment and have got charged
We recently moved out of our apartment and have got charged with a very high amount of additional chargers that we think are very unreasonable but mostly the carpet replacement. When we moved in a year ago we moved into one of the apartments that was not remodeled yet due to a tenant living there for a couple years and we needed a place to live ASAP. So we settled for that apartment. The other apartments the one across from us the one below us are all remodeled with wood floor no carpet. When leaving the apartment the carpet looked to be in a good shape, but there was a stain near the door of balcony but we believe it was from when it rained that the floor kept getting wet, we were not to sure but we never deep cleaned the carpets so we are not sure if that stain could have came out or not. They are trying to charge us $980 for the carpet replacement plus additional fees for paint charges(kitchen and bathroom cabinets$110), Paint labor materials($152). Resurface tube/shower & vanity ($285) Keys($15) which we have we just need to turn in. We believe that they are trying to get money out of us. They already took our whole deposit and are adding all of these additional fees. We believe that they are trying to get money to remodel the apartment. We have had many problems with this apartment and now we are not sure what to do because we believe these chargers are uncalled for. … read more
