We are required to have renter's insurance (always a good idea)

Customer Question

We are required to have renter's insurance (always a good idea) BUT our landlord is insisting that we include them as "additionally insured" vs. "Additional Interested Parties" which is standard. Many of us feel this is a conflict of interest. Obviously, each resident carries rental insurance (minimum $100K personal liability) BUT is it legal for the landlord to insist that we list them as "additionally insured" vs. "Additional Interested Parties?"
