Live in senior citizen apartment complex, the patio decks

Customer Question

Live in senior citizen apartment complex, the patio decks ,have problems , have needed repairs for last three years . Landlord has now decided to lock from the inside our sliding patio doors and only the manager will have a key to open it, they want to keep us off the desks... My apartment is very warm and that means I will not be able to open door for air in my very small apartment . I have told them not to do this , but they insist .
I am a very responsible adult with and not disabled anyway .
any advice , please , thank you, Marlene

I will try and help. First of all, I have a question. Is this deck you are referring to your private deck - part of your apartment? And was this part of the terms on which your lease was written - meaning is part of the reason you chose to live there because you would have access to the decks?

Please let me know.
