Why is G of the Pet addendum fr lease worded the way it is?
G. INDEMNIFICATION: Tenant will protect, defend, indemnify, and hold Landlord, Landlord’s property manager, and Landlord’s agents harmless from any damages, costs, attorney’s fees, and expenses that are caused by the act of any pet or Tenant. (why is or tenant added at the end)

Thank you for your question. I look forward to working with you to provide you the information you are seeking for educational purposes only.
"Or tenant" is added in because the tenant can take some type of action or commit a negligent act that someone may try to sue the landlord over (such as not restraining their pet) and as such this is saying that even if the pet does not cause damage, if the tenant does something that causes damage they would still be liable to protect the landlord.
