My landlord said he delivered a eviction notice. I was out

Customer Question

My landlord said he delivered a eviction notice. I was out of town and we had verbally agreed that it was fine and he was getting a boat title for collateral. I got served today and he came and got the boat yesterday. What can I do?

Hello and welcome! My name is ***** ***** I will try my level best to help with your situation or get you to someone who can.
Can you tell me what state this is in?
Was the boat to serve as collateral for some type of delinquent rent?
When were you supposed to pay off any money owed?
Did you actually give him the boat title?
