I am sorry to hear of this very difficult situation.
Your landlord owes you a duty of care and you have the right to quiet enjoyment of your home and your landlord is required to protect that right.
I suggest you send your landlord a notice in writing indicating that is not acceptable for you to be treated like this in your home and that you are asserting the right to quite enjoyment of your home.
You can tell the landlord that if he does not provide you with quite enjoyment of your home you will take him before the landlord and tenant board to get an order that he stop disturbing you in the evenings and weekends and that he take all steps possible to limit this noise and that he provide you with an abatement of rent so that your rent is lower until the construction is completed.
