I moved out of an apartment and a month later received a bill…

No to both. Property management company always difficult to reach. I would call and call and leave messages and they would call back days later. I asked if I could do a walk through with them and was told no. Only witness besides my mom is high school kid downstairs who said, "Wow, this place is really clean." I did have a lot of problems getting things fixes. I lived there 3 years, always paid my rent on time. Disposal did not work 80% of time and they fixed it over and over rather than replace anything. Had massive bug problems and they never did anything about that either. There was a mold issue in ceiling for a long time and they finally got that "fixed". I had numerous sinus infections due to mold. Don't know if any of this helps.

I lived in the XXXXX XXXXX apartments…

I lived in the XXXXX XXXXX apartments off Hickory and Ave. D. The only advantage of living there is the closeness to campus. Everything else sucks. None of the appliances are updated (oven, fridge, etc). When we moved in, the dishwasher was broken and even when they replaced it, it didn't clean dishes well. The back window was broken, I'm assuming from someone trying to break in and I called them to fix it. It took them over a month to fix it. The toilets are old. The building had to have been built in the 80s. The only thing updated was the floor from carpet to hard wood. My car was towed because there was no more parking spaces so I had to park next door. When I told XXXXX XXXXX about my dilemma, they said they couldn't do anything. I had to use my rent money to get my car out and they didn't seem to care at all. The worse part is getting your deposit, which they find reasons to not give all of it back to you. There's a paper you fill out saying what's already wrong with the apartment which we did fill out. But apparently we weren't too DETAILED. They took money away from cleaning the washer machine because it was dirty, the oven was dirty even though it came dirty, the walls were dirty, even though it was already dirty. My room mate even had to clean boogers off before she moved all her stuff in, so obviously they didn't do a good job. There was a hole in one of the walls by the door which we said on the paper but we fixed it, not them. They claimed the toilet seats where discolored but once again, this is an old apartment, so the stains weren't coming out despite the fact that we cleansed the toilet from top to bottom. Also, dead bugs were there, as if we cleaned everything else but the dead bugs. But it takes them 30 days to give deposits back so who knows when they checked the apartment out. Bugs come into dark empty places, AFTER we moved out. So, to make this short and sweet, don't move here. They don't take care of you and they screw you over with your deposit.

XXXXX XXXXX Properties owns numerous apartments in Denton, Tx. Its a college town with 2 universities. These were tenants who rented from XXXXX XXXXX but I don't know where.

Are you saying that I will have to take them to court?
