Landlord tenant. Legal. I live in an separate building,
Hi I live in an separate building, renovated carriage house, in San Francisco CA. The landlady lives in the main house. I am not sure if it is legal but it is covered by rent control.I have lived there for 10 years and have gone through 3 landlords. The unit has four skylights and a glass brick exterior wall. One of the skylights leaks on and off. I have told the first two landlords about the leak. But not the present one. There is also some mold in the bathroom. Next to the sink and some mold visible around the glass wall which I have not taken care of or told landlady about. I have not showered in the unit for years. Shower elsewhere or sponge bath.I am wondering if I do get the the unit tested for mold and it's found there, will the land lord be responsible for the remediation if the main source of the mold is the skylight or the glass wall.Thank you,Paul … read more
