I had the windshields replace and disconnected the battery.

I had the windshields replace and disconnected the battery. I reconnected the battery the car will not start. nothing in the key fob and the remote start does not work any suggestions as to the problem
JA: Have you checked the fob's battery?
Customer: the fob battery when I press one lights the first block two presses lights the second
JA: What is the model/year of your Kia?
Customer: I 2015 kia optima
JA: Are you fixing your Optima yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I thought the battery was drained so I put it on a charger

some times when you disconnect your battery on these KIAs you lose the program of your key fob. you can reprogram it yourself, by opening the hood and locating the diagnostic port, open it and you will find some ports, jump a wire from the battery positive to the port marked 6, then put the key fob in the ignition and turn till just before the starter would come on. then push the lock button on your key for 3 seconds or until the lights in your dash blink, then your key is programmed. remove the jumper then start your vehicle. hope that helps.
