and do you remember what it was?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
12.7
Expert:  david craig replied 10 months ago.

if that was the voltage of the battery while the engine was running then you have a bad alternator. it should be 14.4 volts

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Had the alternator tested its fine I think it's the ignition switch
Expert:  david craig replied 10 months ago.

check the negative battery cable where it attaches to the engine block. make sure that its free of corrosion and tight.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Did that too and changed the terminals

heres the charging system

Expert:  david craig replied 10 months ago.

you can start the car and do a wiggle test of the wiring to the ignition switch if you can access it. see if it cuts off the car. or you can do a continuity test of the wiring betewen the ignition switch and the battery

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Thanks I'll try that tomorrow!
