05 serento. Trans doesn't shift out of 1st until after 4

Customer Question

05 serento. Trans doesn't shift out of 1st until after 4 grand and shiftssleege hammer hard. once is high gear, stays there even at a dead stop until ignition is turned off. Then pr0cess repeats. Have replaced both speed sensors with no effect.
JA: Does the sensor have a wire-wrapped magnet? If so, have you checked it with an ohmmeter?
Customer: each sensor is a magnet encased in plastic with a wire pigtail. Actually replaced input and output sensors twice.
JA: What is the model of your '05 Kia?
Customer: serento
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes. no local dealer in small town. only the sensors.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: googled the senor replacement procedure and followed it

If the transmission is revving to 4 grand rpm and then slamming into gear the transmission has an internal failure and will need to be replaced. This is not a simple sensor failure , no transmission should ever do this, internal clutches are failed. trash from the failed clutches has gotten into the valve body and damaged the shift solenoids, thats why it is slamming into gear.
