Hello I will help,

Do you have a voltmeter?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I do
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
when the engine is on the only voltage I get is the battery voltage which is 10.51V and counts down...
Expert:  George H. replied 1 year ago.

Good, with the engine off do you show 12 volts at the large cable connection on the alternator?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no. just 10.51 Volts
Expert:  George H. replied 1 year ago.

You measure voltage at the alternator with the engine off?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
0 volts
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I was replacing the compressor belt, and while doing so I grounded the main battery connection on the alternator with my wrench. So I thought I probably fried my alternator so I went and Got a new one and And it is still not Charging
Expert:  George H. replied 1 year ago.

OK, so you have 0 volts at the alternator?

Then the large fuse in the underhood fuse block is blown open. Did you try to jump start this car or another car?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
How can I find which fuse?
Expert:  George H. replied 1 year ago.

That would blow the main fuse then, can you check it?

The ALT fuse in the lower right corner of the underhood fuse block is what you need to check

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
actually I just notice a long fuse block and there is some charring in one of the locations I would have to remove it to be sure
Expert:  George H. replied 1 year ago.

That is also the Main fuse on the diagram and is 125 amp.

Check the charring, it is not the alternator, you have blown a fuse. Once you replace it you will have the same reading on the alternator as you do on the battery.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok I just removed and have confirmed that there a blown segment of the fuse., do you think I can find it at AutoZone?
Expert:  George H. replied 1 year ago.

Yes, I think Autozone has one of those
