Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

I'm assuming the light comes on by itself without you having pressed the button to turn it off intentionally.

If the light is staying on without pressing the button then there is a failure in the system. Anything that will prevent proper stability control operation will turn the light on. There are literally dozens of things that can turn the light on ranging from the steering angle and yaw sensors, wheel speed sensors, the hydraulic control unit and pump motor, wiring, the brake switch or the ABS module itself.

The first thing that will need to be done is use a scan tool or code reader to see what fault codes are setting and then it can be diagnosed from there.
