Customer Question

I put a starter in 2007 kia optima, original stater shorted, burnt 30 amp fuse. After putting new starter, fuse, had a delay in starter after turning key to start position. Sometimes I'd relax key from starting position after there was nothing, then starter would engage & start car in "on" position, with starter disengaging after start. Been running about a month now with patience in delayed engagement.
Now starter engages with key in "on" position every time, starter only disengages when not in park or neutral, when shifted back into park or neutral starter engages again with engine already running.

Hello , ell this sounds like a shorted switch or module....I say its a bad neutral safety switch or just a bad starter solenoid
