Kia Sedona LX: What would cause the brakes to lock up after

Customer Question

What would cause the brakes to lock up after changing tires on a 2005 Kia Sedona?
The parking brake was on when I changed the tires, then released, but when the van
is put in drive, the wheels drag, and the brakes are obviously engaged.

Hello, I'm Brandon - Kia tech. The parking brake in the rear lock up due to rust and not often used.Th tech will need to open up the rear brake and spray some lubricate there to release the parking brake. It just need to be lubricated to free it up. This is not a big issue. They could fix it quickly. Please rate me positive, thank you!
