Randall :

Hello, my name is Randall. I will do my best to assist you with your questionGood question and hard to answer. 98% it quit running because it was diesel and not gas and the fuel pump is still ok. Diesel fuel does contain more oil in it than gas and does lubricate the pump so I doubt the pump burned up however, I can not be 100%. I will say when this happens about 98% of the time we can drain the tank, add gas and get it back running without changing the pump. I feel the shop is doing correct, they do not want it coming back should anything have happened to the pump. the pump is easy to change should you have to, its under the back seat, you do not have to drop the tank.I say do a drain and fill and you should? be ok
