why wife 2000 kia sportage keeps blowing the meter fuse i can replace it and start it once it does not blow it but if i cut it off and back on it blows it again.
How long has it been doing this?

i just started on 9/16/12 on the way home

There are two things to check that might help. The first (and most likely) is a rubbed through wire on right (passenger) side of the trans just before the transfer case way up toward the top of the trans. This is a fairly common thing when this fuse is blowing.

Another place that the wires might be rubbed through is behind the instrument panel. Sometimes some of the wires rub on the metal supports ans short out.

These are the first two places to look.
