Replaced coolant temp sensor on 94 Grand Cherokee, but no reading on instrument cluster

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the connectors on the sensor itself? It's important that they not be loose or corroded.

I will check them. Anything else I should change while I am at it?

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Grand Cherokee yourself? What have you tried so far?

Just checked coolant level and made sure water pump is working.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

It doesn't overheat

trying to find a picture of the gauge sensor. it is a 1 wire sensor on the head. that is what controls the gauge reading. the one you replaced is for the computer for fuel control.

Roy

Ask Your Own Jeep Question

Ask Your Own Jeep Question
