2015 Wrangler Unlimited with fault code M0302. I have

2015 Wrangler Unlimited with...

2015 Wrangler Unlimited with fault code M0302. I have changed the #2 spark plug code returned in 250 miles swapped coils code came back in 125 miles. Engine seems to run just fine no missing or degradation in power. I have less than 30K miles on this Jeep. Any ideas please.

Mechanic's Assistant: Just to clarify, what's the exact code? And have you tried to reset it?

M302 is the code and I have rested numerous times while trying to gather information. I reset by disconnecting the ground on the battery for 5 minutes. This usually gives me a week or so of driving or a day trip plus.

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Wrangler Unlimited yourself? What have you tried so far?

So far yes I am working on it myself replaced the #2 spark plug drove it for a couple weeks when the code returned I swapped the coil with the next cylinder.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Jeep runs great so I am out of ideas trying not to make a bunch of trips to the dealership without good information to help them troubleshoot. The nearest maintenance is a good hour drive away.

Another possibility for a misfire is low compression or a bad fuel injector. Seeing that you can't feel a misfire, the computer can also be reporting wrong. If you have a scan tool available, the test would be MODE 6. This will tell you for sure.
