2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT; The blower stops working off…

Customer Question
2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee...

2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT; The blower stops working off and on. Won't blow A/C or heat when I turn the dial. Yesterday it didn't work. Today it came back on for a while then stopped again.???

Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the coolant level? Has there been any leaking from the hoses?

The coolant resevoir is high, but I can't see any leaking. I do smell a strong coolant oder recently, like it's burning coolant if that makes sense. How does that affect the blower motor?

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Grand Cherokee yourself? What have you tried so far?

No and np

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

I pulled the fuses and replaced them (same one), and nothing worked.

It sounds like the blower motor has failed, if it stops in right position it can determine if it works or not. To verify this is the problem unplug the blower motor when it doesn't work and check to see if it has good power/ground if so this means blower motor needs to be replaced. This would also explain the burning smell you are smelling. Let me know if you have questions, thanks.
