Have Jeep Questions? Ask a Jeep Repair Expert for Answers
Hello my name is ***** ***** I will be assisting you today. What size motor do you have?
The issue that you described is the same issue that I had with a jeep grand cheerokee V8. The reason I that this was happening is the intake plenum gasket is leaking. You would have to remove the intake manifold and replace this gasket.
You should also take this opportunity to do any maintenance and inspections.
If you have any further questions on this issue, feel free to ask. If that will be all, and you have found this information helpful, a positive rating would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi Im David, dont know why you opted the previous tech out, but you need to check for air leaks or vacuum leaks. engine running get a can of carb cleaner and start spraying around the intake plenum, air intake tube, and vacuum hoses and fittings. listen for a change in rpm.
