Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

You could have quite a few things going on and it will require some testing to determine what is causing the problem. The problem could be with the instrument cluster itself, a loss of proper power or ground to the cluster or a bus communication issue.

When the problem happens can you unplug the alternator field connector and see if the instrument cluster goes back to normal?
