My alarm keeps going off and it's saying my gate door is open when it's not
JA: Have you tried locking and unlocking the driver's side door using the key itself?
Customer: Yes didn't work
JA: What is the model/year of your Jeep?
Customer: 2012 Jeep Liberty
JA: Are you fixing your Liberty yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It's 1245am here so I'd like to fix it so the alarm won't go off and I'll take it to a garage Monday

Hi .

If the dash warning light is showing tail gate open and the gate is 100% closed then you

have a problem with the Locking latch .

This latch has a sensor letting you know if the gate is open or closed .

This has probably malfunctioned causing you this issue .

What i suggest you do is disconnect the negative side of the battery when the car is not in use.

When you want to use reconnect the battery until Monday when you can have this checked.

Need further assistance with this issue then please get back to me with the reply box below .
After rating there is no further cost for any other question relating this issue .
Kind regards Greg
